Darkest Before the Dawn
Dark times bequeath dark thoughts, and we are all under a reign of terror and negativity right now. Will these neo dark ages be followed by a period of enlightenment and a rennaissance? It's too soon to know. The paintings in this series employ a subdued palette, evocative of the darkness we are facing. I work intuitively, building up layers of paint to create texture and grace, showing that there is beauty even in the dark.
